STL Windows and Doors has installed ProVia entry doors across St. Louis since 2014, as a Platinum Dealer and Certified Installer. ProVia’s real lineup today is two fiberglass lines, Signet and Ascent, plus the Legacy steel door. Some guides still list Embarq and Heritage. ProVia discontinued both.

ProVia’s Real Entry Door Lineup

Three door lines make up ProVia’s current entry door catalog. Each has its own full page on this site with every skin, color and finish option. For every paint, stain, glaze and hardware finish side by side, see our ProVia door colors and hardware guide.

ProVia Legacy French-Entry Doors with Dark-Oak Stain

Signet — the most customizable fiberglass door

Signet is ProVia’s widest fiberglass lineup. It comes in 6 skin options (Mahogany, Cherry, Oak, Knotty Alder, Fir and Smooth), 33 paint colors, and 20 stains across 7 glaze finishes. Every finish carries a 15-year factory warranty. See the full Signet lineup.

Ascent — real white oak veneer

Ascent uses a real white oak veneer skin, not an embossed imitation, with 33 paint colors and 7 White Oak stains. It’s ENERGY STAR certified and backed by a 10-year finish warranty. See the full Ascent lineup.

Legacy — the steel option

Legacy steel doors use 20-gauge steel, 49% more galvannealed steel than standard 24-gauge doors. It comes in smooth or woodgrain-textured skins, across 33 paint colors and 7 stains. See the full Legacy lineup.

ProVia also builds 4 sliding patio door lines — Endure, Aeris, Aspect and EcoLite — plus French doors and storm doors. See our full door catalog for every option.

What Actually Makes a ProVia Door Hold Up

Three things decide whether an entry door lasts: the core material, the finish, and the hardware.

Steel Gauge

Legacy uses 20-gauge steel, 49% more galvannealed steel than the 24-gauge steel most competing doors use.

The Finish System

Signet and Ascent use ProVia’s DuraFuse finishing: hand-applied, oven-cured and UV-resistant, not a sprayed-on paint job.

Hardware

Every line ships with hardware from trusted lockset makers — Trilennium, Schlage, Hoppe and Emtek — not a generic house-brand lock.

Energy Rating

ProVia has won the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award 16 times, as of 2024. Most configurations carry ENERGY STAR certification.

How to Pick a ProVia Dealer

ProVia makes the door. The dealer decides whether it’s installed right. Three things actually tell you that:

Platinum Dealer Status

ProVia’s own dealer locator shows which installers hold this — it means the dealer sells enough volume and passes ProVia’s own standards to earn it. STL Windows and Doors is a verified Platinum Dealer.

Certified Installer

A dealer can sell ProVia doors without being trained to install them — installing is a separate certification. STL Windows and Doors is also a Certified Installer.

A Separate Workmanship Warranty

ProVia’s warranty covers the door. It won’t cover a bad install. STL Windows and Doors backs every install with its own 10-year workmanship warranty, on top of ProVia’s.

STL Windows and Doors has served the greater St. Louis area since 2014, as a family-owned business. See our full ProVia dealer page for why we partnered with ProVia specifically.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. ProVia discontinued both. The current fiberglass lineup is Signet and Ascent. A lot of guides online, including some from other ProVia dealers, still list Heritage and Embarq — that information is out of date.

Signet has the most options: 6 skins, 33 paint colors and 20 stains. Ascent is narrower by design. It’s built around one real white oak veneer skin, not an embossed imitation, with fewer but still real choices in paint and stain. Pick Signet for the widest range of looks; pick Ascent for a genuine wood-grain finish at a more focused price point.

Most Signet, Ascent and Legacy configurations are, though it depends on the glass package you choose. ProVia itself has won the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award 16 times as of 2024. Ask at your estimate which exact configuration qualifies for your door.

This page covers the lineup and how to pick a dealer. For warranty terms, what owners actually say, and the fine print, see our guide: Are ProVia Doors Any Good?
